I commonly get asked if I have any recommendations for boxes for brides to ship their bouquet in, so this blog post has been a long time coming! Whilst not every bouquet is the same size, here's my recommendations for items you can get in advance so you have everything to hand when it comes to ship your bouquet for preservation:
Firstly, keeping your bouquet upright is super important, placing it in one of these flower boxes will keep it standing tall and hopefully not bouncing around the box!

Next thing your going to need is a box here's a few to choose from:

If you are having a teardrop bouquet, I recommending keeping it in its original form and laying it on a bed of scrunched up newspaper and sending it as it is.
To help the environment and reduce waste, we very much recommend these water soluble packing peanuts to fill the void around your flowers and the box, they are soft on the flowers but will firmly hold them in place.

Along with a normal box you're going to need a few other things:
Kitchen towel
Zip lock bag/clingfilm
Heavy duty scissors
Fragile tape
Packing peanuts/newspaper
Marker pen
If you want to send a smaller collection of flowers and not a whole bouquet then we recommend sending in tupperware, and sending a large selection of flowers for us to choose from. This may also be the way you will be sending memorial flowers. Here's some tupperware that has been tried and tested and is nice and sturdy to ensure your flowers arrive safely.
Alternatively, please use what you have at home, because please remember I do not return tupperware.
When packaging your flowers please be mindful of the environment, use recyclable materials where possible and don't use more than you need. I recycle cardboard which is shredded and used to package orders returning home.
