Frequently Asked Questions

All Your Common Queries In One Place

How does it work?

Take a browse through my products and decide what you’d like, once you have checked out and placed your order head over the how to pack your flowers page and send them off. I’ll do the rest! You’ll receive your items back in a few months time.

If you are ordering in advance please put a note on your order with the date of your wedding. Please also check we have availability! If you haven't decided yet, but want to secure your spot, please use the book online tool, you wont need to decide until a week before your wedding!

Do I need to book in advance?

We don't require an advance booking to preserve your flowers, if you want to book for a future date and choose what you want closer to the time you can book your date onour website. However if your wedding is less than four weeks away we will need a full order via our online shop.

For memorial flowers you do not need to book in advance, I can take these at any time, head over to our shop to place an order.

My pre booked slots are open on the assumption you will send your flowers the next working day (excludes Saturdays) after your wedding using a next day service. This allows me to book my own holidays and appointments. If you are unable to send the next working day please pop me a message to make sure I am still ok to receive your flowers.

What updates will I receive throughout the process?

I update at the following stages:

  • When I receive your flowers in the post (please allow up to 48 hours for confirmation during busy times, please check your tracking yourself for piece of mind)

  • When they have been taken out the drying agent and I am about to start your order

  • When your items have been finished (they will then stand for a few days before posting to finish the curing process)

  • When your items have been dispatched

Outside of these times I cannot provide updates, just because there isn't anything to tell you, but rest assured everything is ok.

I often get the "any update on my order at all" message, I am very transparent of when I send updates, please be patient and wait for me to send these. My time is best spent working on orders rather than replying to these messages with disappointing news.

Can I choose the floral layout of my items?

Sometimes this isn't always possible as some items are cast upside down or in shapes that are tricky to lay out. If you would like certain flowers using in certain items please write  note with your flowers, and pack them in separate Tupperware boxes and label with the name of the item. Any instructions for the artist designing your items must be sent as a handwritten note with your flowers for us to refer to in the design process. We are unable to guarentee to uphold requests that are on social media messages or emails.

For frames I totally freestyle all my designs, this enables me to secure flowers as I go. You are welcome to send me inspiration photos of my previous work if you like a certain style. Otherwise designs are my discretion as my best work is achieved when I have a creative free flow, you can however request layout templates such as "from the corner design" or "meadow style" just pop me a message to chat! Please note I will not copy another artists work.

Can all flowers be preserved?

Succulents can't be dried for frames or resin but they can be pressed. Berries also dry black and don't retain their original colour so these are not dried unless you specifically request for them to be used, for an additional charge I can use and source artificial berries if these are a main part of your bouquet.

Lillie's and some orchids are also tricky to dry, some may go brown or yellow. and translucent in places when placed in resin If these are part of your arrangement please manage your expectations of these flowers, ideally these need to be sent within 3 days of the event. Spray painted flowers may have colour bleeding if put in resin.

Not all flowers can be pressed or press well, when choosing a pressed preservation please bear in mind I have to get your flowers as thin as a bit of paper. I press a lot of bouquets every week and it is not possible for me to email every bride with what will and wont press well, I ask you please use your own assessment when looking at your flowers and choosing a pressed preservation. If you are still unsure on the best preservation method for your flowers please pop me a message and I can advise. Dried flowers cannot be pressed.

How do I care for my finished items?

  • Keep out of direct sunlight, I use UV resistant resin which has been tried and tested but exposing resin items to direct sunlight will cause the resin to yellow.

  • Please keep away for any direct heat, this includes storing items in rooms that get very warm such as conservatories. Items such as coasters and trays are heat resistant up to 70 degrees but only 30 days after you have received your items, they need this time to reach their full strength and resistance. Until this point please take care. For coasters please only use for cold drinks up until the 30 days are up. We recommend battery operated tea lights for tea light holders. If open flames are used do not leave unattended, as we are unsure of the types on candles you may use we cannot guarantee flames will not damage the resin.

  • To clean please do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives, mild dish soap and a microfiber cloth will polish out any finger prints or blemishes.

  • Items are not scratch or shatterproof and are not designed to be handled everyday. They are for display purposes only and due to the nature of the resin they may have sharper edges on items like cubes or the backs of letters.

  • Constant exposure to moisture will damage the resin, please keep out of humid areas such as a bathroom or washroom.

  • All items are not weatherproof and are not suitable to be stored outside.

  • We do not offer a warranty or guarantee on the life span of your items, but if correctly looked after they can last for many years.

  • Pressed frames should be hung in a non humid room, do not hang in a kitchen or bathroom

  • Pressed frames should be hung away from direct sunlight to delay any colour fading

Can I add to my order at a later date? Do you dry all my bouquet?

I only dry or press what I need to complete your order plus a few spares.

A whole bouquet can go a long way, so don't be worried about ordering too much. We recommend ordering everything you want initially as we cant always add to orders after your flowers have been processed.

Our large 30x50cm and A2 frames require a whole bouquet on its own. If you would like additional items on top of these frame we recommend sending an additional bridesmaids bouquet or table flowers.

Please note we do not dry your whole bouquet, only what is needed for your order. Sometimes we are not able to add to your order after the flowers have been processed, for example if you have ordered a pressed frame, we are unable to add on larger resin items.

How are my items posted?

All items are sent tracked, you will receive a shipping confirmation when your items are packaged and postage is arranged, they are then posted within a day or two. I dispatch with royal mail, please ensure to leave your phone number and email address when placing your order to receive tracking info from royal mail. To help the environment, some of my packaging is recycled.

How will my finished items look?

Every piece I make is unique, and has its own character, I am unable to exactly replicate designs of previous items made. Your flowers may not look the same as some of the flowers in my photos, many things contribute to how a finished item will look. Photos are for examples and illustrative purposes only. Please see my terms and conditions for more details, but no item will ever be perfect as they are handmade. Bubbles are also very common and not seen as a fault.

If you are wondering about how certain flowers dry head over to my blog post where I talk about this subject in great detail!

How soon do you need my flowers?

As soon as possible, we are a preservation service so the quality of the finished items depend on the quality of the flowers then they are received by us. We cannot work with flowers that are more than two weeks old. We also cannot press flowers older than 7 days.

Can you work with dried flowers?

Yes we can work with flowers that are already dry or you have dried yourself, we offer a discount for dried flowers, please get in touch for a code. Please note however we are unable to press dried flowers, but they can be framed in a shadowbox or used in resin.

How long does the whole process take?

The flowers take at least 3 weeks to dry, after that casting can take anywhere up to 20 weeks. Pressed flowers can take up to 6 weeks to press. Please also allow an extra two weeks over Christmas as I take some time out to spend time with my family. I do reserve the right to extend this if needed, I understand you are eager to have your keepsakes back but I don’t like to rush the process :) you'll receive an update when I receive your flowers and when I am about to start your order, other than that I cannot give timescales in between these updates. I work in order of orders placed and each order takes a different amount of time to complete, so I cannot give estimates.

I am local, can I drop off my bouquet and collect my items?

Yes you can! I accept bouquet drop offs Monday-Friday, please contact me to arrange a time around a week before, the same time you place a full order. Please only drop off when it has been pre agreed with me, also bring a note with your full name and order number when you drop off your flowers.

You can collect your finished items during my working hours Monday-Friday, please inform me when you receive your update to say I will start your order. Items must be collected within 7 working days of your final update otherwise they will be posted. Due to storage space I cant keep items longer than this.
